We get all kinds of questions, so we thought we’d share some of the most common ones to save you some time. You can always reach out to our team:

  • Magnolia Plantation is open 7 days a week from 9:00am-5:00pm. Last ticket is sold at 4:00pm each day.

  • Yes, for individual tours and ticket purchasing please click HERE.

  • General admission tickets include access to our dog-friendly grounds, 6 miles of walking and biking trails, Historic Gardens, Wildlife Center, the Wildlife Observation Tower, Nature Train, Audubon Swamp Garden walk, From Slavery to Freedom Tour and cabins. Guided Tours (Magnolia House, Boat) are sold separately.

  • Magnolia Plantation and Gardens is open rain or shine! Unless MPG closes tours or the property a refund will not be given for inclement weather.

  • Yes, leashed dogs are welcome on our grounds, in our gardens, and in our Audubon Swamp Garden. Dogs are NOT permitted in our Wildlife Center, Gift Shop, or inside the Magnolia House.

  • Yes, our Peacock Café opens at 9:00am and sells a variety of sandwiches, sweets, snacks, and beverages including wine and beer. Our Gift Shop also has snacks and beverages available for purchase. Our current Peacock Café menu offerings can be viewed HERE.

  • Yes, outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are permitted. Picnic tables are located throughout the property. Wine, beer, hard seltzer and soft drinks are available for purchase at the Peacock Café and Gift Shop.

  • Yes, our team at the Welcome Center will direct you to our luggage storage. Space is limited and can only accommodate small bags and carry-on size luggage.

  • Yes, Magnolia Plantation provides free parking for our guests.

  • No. Uber, Lyft, and local Taxi companies are available for transportation to and from Magnolia Plantation. We require guests to be off the premises by 5:00pm, and recommend you schedule your departure time in advance.

  • Yes, personal photography is allowed and encouraged - tag us @magoliaplantation

  • We recommend that you speak with a representative at the Welcome Center for personalized advice to make the most of your visit. Handicap parking and accessible restrooms are available onsite.

    The self-guided Garden Tour, Gift Shop, Wildlife Center, Peacock Café, Nature Boat Tour, and Nature Train guided tours are accessible. However, walkers, wheelchairs, and motorized scooters may have difficulty maneuvering on unpaved paths around the property. The guided house tour requires walking up the steps into the house and due to the historic nature of the house, it is unfortunately not accessible for wheelchairs or scooters.

  • The gardens and paths, Gift Shop, Wildlife Center, Peacock Café, Wildlife Boat Tour, and Discovery Train guided tours are accessible.     Handicap parking and accessible restrooms are available onsite. 

    Due to the historic nature of our gardens, some paths may be rocky or bumpy and hard for wheelchairs/scooters to navigate. Our Welcome Center staff can help you plan your day when you arrive! 

    Strollers, wheelchairs, and scooters are welcome on the 66 acres of gardens and grounds. 

    We do not have wheelchairs or scooters for rent onsite. 

  • Strollers, wheelchairs, and scooters are welcome on the 66 acres of gardens and grounds. We do advise guests that many of our garden paths are uneven, as they are made of dirt and gravel . The guided house tour does require walking up the steps into the house. Personal wheelchairs and scooters are prohibited on house tours.

  • We do participate in the AHS RAP program. Please present your membership card(s) at our Welcome Center when you arrive for complimentary Garden Admission. We honor admission for you and 1 guest per membership. If you are interested in additional guided tours, those can be purchased when you arrive onsite at our Welcome Center.
